Magnolias

Using the same methods I use for my still lifes, this artwork is multi-layered and hand painted from start to finish, bringing out the colours and sculptural form of the flowers. I love the beauty and the majesty of the Magnolia tree and the magnificent flowers they produce. They have long been held as symbols of purity and joy across many cultures and even being used in traditional folk medicine.
