Sergio Roffo Demonstration

ARC Living Master™ Sergio Roffo will be performing a live oil painting demonstration of a coastal scene and describing the process from beginning to completion.
The demonstration takes place on June 30th and starts at 2 pm at the Guild of Boston Artists, 162 Newbury St, Boston MA 02116.

Women Painting Women

Women Painting Women is a major exhibition of portraiture celebrating the talent of Australian female portrait artists and the women who sit for them. Among the artists is ARC Associate Living Master™ Vicki Sullivan. The works touch on a variety of contemporary themes while revealing personal stories of reward and loss.
The exhibition dates are July 21 – August 19, 2018 at Burrinja Cultural Centre, 351 Glenfern Rd, Upwey VIC 3158.

OPA Juried Salon Show

In summer 2018, Crooked Tree Arts Center - Traverse City is proud to be the exclusive presenter of the the Oil Painters of America Juried Salon Show. The OPA represents over 4,000 oil painters from across North America, and is dedicated to the promotion of excellence in representational (non-abstract) art. The exhibition includes nearly 230 pieces, and will be on display June 22 - September 1, and is free and open to the public.
ARC Associate Living Master™ Roger Dale Brown is the awarding juror and ARC Living Master™ John Pototschnik will be among the artists participating.

Tales From A Studio

Tales From A Studio is a Solo Exhibition by ARC Associate Living Master™ Vicki Sullivan from Mornington Peninsula.
Sullivan’s work includes portraits of favorite muses and local identities, including Professor Daniel O'Brian, who is researching the flesh eating Bairnsdale Ulcer affecting many peninsula residents. Sullivan hopes to educate the public with recognizing signs of the Ulcer by exhibiting the portrait of the professor and providing information.
The exhibition will take place on June 29 – August 24, 2018 at the Mornington Peninsula Shire Foyer Gallery, 2 Queen St, Mornington, VIC Australia

First published in 2017, the magazine has already presented some of the most recognizable names in realism, allowing their work to become accessible to a wide audience. We The People Exhibition

ARC Living Master™ Julio Reyes and ARC Living Master™ Max Ginsburg are being featured at MCA Museum in We The People – Contemporary American Figurative Art.
We the People highlights exceptional figurative artists, who capture an aspect of the American experience. Representing a wide array of mediums and styles, the artists' treatment of this classic subject ranges from traditional portraiture to social discourse. The artists selected for this exhibition provide a limited snapshot of the complex cultural fabric that binds not only our country but our humanity.

New ARC Affiliated Artist

ARC is pleased to welcome John Seibels Walker as an ARC Living MasterTM.
American painter, John Seibels Walker, was born in South Carolina in 1960. He received a B.A. in Studio Arts from The University of the South in 1983 and spent several years as a 19th – early 20th century art dealer before going on to train in the Classical Realist atelier of Richard Lack in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There he completed four years of apprentice study in 1991.

Princeton Academy of Art presents a unique educational experience in the European Classical Tradition. The curriculum merges the methods of classical atelier education and the Russian academic tradition. Following in these traditions, instruction is a focused immersion into human anatomy, perspective, and tactile approaches to analyzing form. By rigorously studying these methods alongside concrete principles of value, color and composition, students are able to traverse various media and techniques to interpret the world around them in a way that suits their temperament and vision.

ARC is pleased to welcome Manchester Studios RVA as a new ARC ApprovedSM Atelier!
Manchester Studios RVA brings master artists and instructors in Classical Realism from around the world to teach workshops in sculpting, painting, drawing, and anatomy. The methods of visual measuring used by the Old Masters to achieve accuracy are taught in a step by step fashion. By keeping workshops small, students of all levels, from beginner to advanced, can expand their skills and knowledge.

Garden State Comic Fest

The Garden State Comic Fest will be featuring artwork by ARC Living Master™ Greg Hildebrandt. Greg will be painting at the booth all weekend.
He will also be selling vintage tin signs, hand painted and sketched original art published and unpublished, limited edition prints, books, preliminary sketches for comic and art collectors and more!
The festival will be held July 7 & 8 in the traditional home at the Mennen Arena located on 161 E Hanover Ave, Morristown, NJ 07960

ModPortrait 2017/2018

The MEAM (Museu Europeu d'Art Modern) will be displaying works from the ModPortrait exhibition. The exhibition was originally shown at the Pablo Serrano Museum and has traveled to the MEAM where it will be displayed from June 22 - June 29, 2018.
Conor Walton, who won an honorable mention in the 12th ARC Salon Competition, is the winner in this years ModPortrait Exhibition for his portrait called “The Key”. Another exhibiting artist will be ARC Associate Living Master™ John Boe Paulsen.
The exhibition will take place at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM), 5 Carrer de la Barra de Ferro, Barcelona, Spain.

Oil Painters of America 2018 Salon Show

The goal of the show is to assemble the finest display of approximately 200 representational oil paintings. The focus in the jurying process was to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color, and composition, while emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter. London Atelier of Representational Art Summer Schools

Have you been dreaming of really learning to draw and paint? LARA Summer Schools tutors teach you the fundamentals of good draughtsmanship and paint handling. Summer Schools are the perfect taster for life at LARA!
Students will receive the same teaching, from the same tutors, as the Diploma students and come away with drawings and paintings to be proud of. The Summer Schools are designed to mirror atelier study, so this course is perfect for students considering the longer Diploma course and would like to try a taster first! Just like a full time student, three hours a day will be spent studying cast drawing or painting and three hours a day devoted to life drawing or painting. Classes start July 2nd, so sign up now!

Salmagundi Club Tour

This is a rare opportunity to see works by important American artists spanning from yesteryear to today in a spectacular 19th Century setting. Explore the landmark building and its elegant architecture, view the historic art collection, historic palette collection, rare Union League pool tables, and vintage monotype printing presses.

The 13th Annual Juried Exhibition will be held from October 5th through October 29th, 2018. California Art Club 107th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition

ARC Allied Organization, The California Art Club, is holding an annual exhibition of contemporary-traditional fine art that spotlights work from more than 220 artists – more than a third of them from Los Angeles. The sculptures and paintings, which range from landscapes and seascapes to figures and still lifes, explore issues including diversity, social justice, science, and environmentalism.
ARC Living Artist™ Clark Gussin’s painting, “Fallow Ground Fallow Heart” will be on exhibit in the California Art Club’s 107th Gold Medal Exhibition taking place in the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
Exhibition dates are June 10 – July 1, 2018 at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, 900 W Exposition Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90007.

For nearly a quarter century, ARC Living MasterTM Dr. Richard Whitney and his artist wife, Sandy Sherman, have welcomed students, artists, and art lovers from around the world. Located on 100 Chalet Dr., NH 03464, the studios are at the end of a dirt road with a beautiful beaver pond and access to thousands of acres of forest.
